The California Bluegrass Association (CBA) is our sponsor for these Friday night concerts. For years the CBA has promoted bluegrass for kids at the annual Grass Valley festival and more recently in professional level programs in California schools. The CBA is hoping to expand these school programs and are teaming up with the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley for a concert Thursday September 10th featuring Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band and David Nelson (of New Riders fame) and others. Show starts at 7 pm. It probably is too far for most of us in District 5 to attend BUT if you have family or friends in the Bay Area, please encourage them to go. And to show support from the San Joaquin Valley, donations can be made on the CBA sponsor page (write "ABC" in the comment section if you do make a donation!)

Tonight at 6 pm! Pipe on the Hob plays through the Celtic connection to American/bluegrass music with songs and tunes from Ireland and the British Isles. With a few Bill Monroe favorites! This Friday the 28th we are back in the saddle for 5 last concerts. Pipe on the Hob is the featured band this Friday (6 pm-8 pm) with a program of tunes and songs, "Off to California".
