Just because we’ve been quiet doesn’t mean we haven’t been workin . . .

We all may be halfway to Halloween but we here at OHH are full speed ahead for the 2026 season. Just finalized the floor plan, we’ve been acquiring some new items and set pieces, we’ve added some new actors recently, and theme/character plans are currently being finalized.

We are going a route we’ve never gone before for this season; our fans/“victims” are in for a treat.

Stay tuned . . . 🔪

Each year at OHH, we always pick several “bold” projects to undertake to add an extra layer of realism and to help blur the lines between it being a “home haunt” and a legit haunted house. It’s difficult to do with such limited space, but somehow our team always pulls it together and makes it happen.

This past season, with one of our main new attractions being the Orchard Hill Penitentiary, we knew we had to deliver an epic entrance to set the stage. Our friend and fellow staff member John V took it upon himself to contact our local Pick-n-Save, whom donated an entire car to our haunt. John then towed it home, used a sawzall to cut the front clip off, and then a team of us physically carried the front clip into the yard to stage our police car crash scene.

The result - as you can see in the pictures - came out as good as we had hoped. Many of our guests were shocked to encounter an actual car crash in the yard and made for a memorable mood setter for our jail.

Can’t wait to see what our team cooks up for 2026 . . .

I’ve been quiet the last few months as we’ve been decompressing from a long (and successful) 2025 season! It took nearly 3 complete months of countless hours of work, but all the incredible ideas and ingenuity paired with all the donations and supplies we collected this year came together to make it our most detailed experience to date.

We officially welcomed 1,223 brave individuals through OHH this year, setting yet another 2-night record for attendance. Additionally, we collected more than $1,000 in cash donations and a truck load of pet food donations for our local SPCA pet shelter. Furthermore, from all the feedback gathered through our QR-survey, it was rated our best year to date from all that attended.

As exhausting as this work can be, witnessing the smiles, screams, laughs, and tears of all our guests makes it worth every second that we invest into our haunt. Here are some shots from this year - be sure to visit our YouTube channel in our bio to witness the POV walkthrough and our scare reaction compilation videos!

Plans are full steam ahead for 2026 which will be our 7th season in operation!

Stay tuned . . .

While we are busy tearing down and packing up from Orchard Hill Haunt’s 6th year, I wanted to take a moment and share some moments from this past weekend. I couldn’t be more proud of the job we all did and the overall quality / attention to detail we were able to achieve, especially for a home haunt that is only open 2 days.

We want to send a special "thank you" to everyone that attended Orchard Hill Haunt this past weekend. Over 2 nights, we officially had 1,223 individuals come through our haunt, setting another attendance record which is a testament to how much great support we get from this community. Furthermore, we gave out TONS of candy and we received a lot of pet food donations for the Roanoke Valley SPCA! Thank you to everyone that attended and made our 6th year such a success, giving us momentum as we look ahead going into 2026 for our 7th year!

For anyone that attended this past weekend, if you could please take 3-5 minutes of your time and respond to this survey below, we would GREATLY appreciate it. This is the only way we can truly take feedback and constructive criticism, and to continue to improve our show. We also want to hear what was your favorite thing so we can continue to expand on the most popular sections.

**ATTN:

I feel like this should go without saying, but I want to send a reminder to anyone that attends Orchard Hill Haunt - please do NOT touch the actors, the sets, or any props. We’ve been working for over 3 months designing this haunt for the community to enjoy, however we had individuals last night that were touching, messing with, and even taking down pieces of our sets.

Furthermore, we had many kids as well as many adults that were repeatedly touching our actors (some of which are below the age of 18) as well as saying completely inappropriate things to our staff.

This is an entire family-organized event with several close friends involved, and in no world is it okay to speak to children / females in the way that we heard last night, especially something that is fun and FREE. The fact that we had not only children but adult men putting their hands on underage children is completely unacceptable.

We are open for our second night tonight and we will be vigilant to make sure everyone adheres to our rules. PLEASE - be respectful and please be kind. We do all of this for YOU!

With that said, we wanted to thank all 592 confirmed guests that attended Night 1 of our haunt and helped set a night 1 attendance record for OHH. As good as last night was, we are gearing up for Night 2, which is historically always our biggest night and our staff works all day to freshen the sets and experience up for anyone that wishes to attend both nights, so tonight will be our full effort glory run to bring you all the best experience possible!

Let’s run it back! Don’t forget those pet food donations that we are collecting for the Roanoke Valley SPCA!
