**ATTN:
I feel like this should go without saying, but I want to send a reminder to anyone that attends Orchard Hill Haunt - please do NOT touch the actors, the sets, or any props. We’ve been working for over 3 months designing this haunt for the community to enjoy, however we had individuals last night that were touching, messing with, and even taking down pieces of our sets.
Furthermore, we had many kids as well as many adults that were repeatedly touching our actors (some of which are below the age of 18) as well as saying completely inappropriate things to our staff.
This is an entire family-organized event with several close friends involved, and in no world is it okay to speak to children / females in the way that we heard last night, especially something that is fun and FREE. The fact that we had not only children but adult men putting their hands on underage children is completely unacceptable.
We are open for our second night tonight and we will be vigilant to make sure everyone adheres to our rules. PLEASE - be respectful and please be kind. We do all of this for YOU!
With that said, we wanted to thank all 592 confirmed guests that attended Night 1 of our haunt and helped set a night 1 attendance record for OHH. As good as last night was, we are gearing up for Night 2, which is historically always our biggest night and our staff works all day to freshen the sets and experience up for anyone that wishes to attend both nights, so tonight will be our full effort glory run to bring you all the best experience possible!
Let’s run it back! Don’t forget those pet food donations that we are collecting for the Roanoke Valley SPCA!
