The girls are students of the weaving school and had their first encounter with a young alpaca. They have decided to learn to spin. Yeah.

We have two new students, Josie and Julie, that have completed their final projects. Wonderful handbags for yarn. I am very proud of their work. The brown bag pattern is Orange Peal and the gray bag is Enigma.

Well my first day was not productive but I did spin to teach. Yesterday I spun 1 1/2 hours, a slow start but good enough. Today I was spinning when I had to stop to prepare supper, soooo I cut up a jalapeno for the roast. Forgot to wash my hands with soa
p so now I am a one-eyed spinner but will just keep going

Today we start getting everything in line for the Cloudcroft Mayfair on Saturday & Sunday. Many of the guild members have contributed Rag Rugs, Shawls, Hopis, Scarfs, Place Mats, Hand towels Beanie Hats, Bags and dolls and much more. Come by the Guild Booth to say hi and maybe find just the handwoven or hand crafted item you have wanted forever.
