We have two (2!) events coming up this month in the last week of June.

First, on June 24th, we will be holding a scavenger hunt at the Anishinaabewigamig! Teams of 2-4, with an Ojibwe name, have the chance to win prizes! Room At The Table will be serving dinner.

Then, on Saturday, June 27th, we will be back at the Anishinaabewigamig for the legendary Shinaabe Gagwe-Aazaabandaagewinan! The Ultimate Ojibwe Challenge! Teams of 3-5 will compete in challenges that utilize a range of skills & have a chance to win more prizes! There will also be an Ojibwe Chef Challenge — best Ogaa dish & best Manoomin dish. Lunch will be served.

We would like to share with you a learning material/game that we developed to practice talking about your favorite “things,” animate and inanimate, (wiisiniwin, odaabaan, mazinaatesewin, wejibwemod…) in Ojibwemowin!

Details of the game can be found on our website. There is a PDF with instructions and translations and another PDF which contains the “cards,” which you can print out if you wish.
