Daily 🙏🏾 Prayer : Luke 24:6-7
SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 2026
“Beloveds, many people love prosperity sermons and there's not much preaching about sin or hell today. But I will tell you this — it's as real as ever.”
SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
LUKE 24:6-7 KJV
PRAYER
Father, forgive me for falling into doubt and fear and unbelief. When I don’t understand something it is hard to remember it. It was hard for your followers to understand how or why their beloved messiah would be delivered into the hands of evil men, crucified, and then on the third day raised from the dead. That must have sounded unbelievable to them. There are so many mysteries in the kingdom I do not fully understand nor will I until I arrive home in heaven. I am finite and you are infinite and my ability to comprehend is limited. That is why faith is so important. I must have faith in your truth and goodness. Even when your followers saw you raise lazarus from the dead and the many other miracles you did I don’t think the full realization of who you were manifested in the depth of their being. How could it? They knew you were the messiah but you came in humility and not pomp and circumstance. You came to love not overthrow the Romans with power but to teach of a world where there is justice and love and forgiveness. They were learning a new way of living and loving. As they watched events unfold they saw their masters words ring true. You exemplify the power of a resurrected life. Teach me your ways Lord, which I might be like you. In Jesus name, amen.

Psalm 130:1 SATURDAY, AUGUST 29, 2026
“Out of the depths I have cried to you, The Lord.”
PSALM 130:1
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 130
Tonight’s psalm draws our hearts toward mercy. In Psalm 130:1, we are reminded of crying to God from the depths. This scripture gives us a steady place to end the day, turning our attention away from hurry, fear, and distraction and back toward the Lord. God meets us in His Word with truth for our minds, comfort for our hearts, and direction for our steps. Take a moment to sit with this verse from Psalm 130. Breathe out the weight of the day, and breathe in the peace of God’s presence. Let this scripture shape your thoughts tonight and lead you into rest.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for revealing His heart through Psalm 130. Honor Him for His faithfulness, goodness, and nearness tonight. CONFESSION: Bring Him the places where your heart has drifted from this truth. Confess worry, self-reliance, distraction, or doubt, and receive His mercy.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the gift of His Word and for the way this scripture reminds you of crying to God from the depths. Let gratitude quiet your soul. SUPPLICATION: Father, let the truth of Psalm 130:1 take root in me tonight. Shape my heart through Your Word, give me peace as I rest, and help me walk tomorrow in the light of Your presence.

Dear God, tonight my soul will wait for You. Amid a frenetic, anxious, and whirling world, I will remain still and watch diligently for You to move. Though everything around me is moving and causing distraction, I can trust that You are working in the margin. Like a watchman in the night, I will remain steadfast and vigilant. I will put my hope in You and You alone so the fickle nature of the world does not take my joy. Settle my soul tonight, and show me Your goodness as I dream. Reveal Your pleasing and perfect will, and rejuvenate me for the day ahead. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen

2 Kings 13:19
FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2026
“His mercy doesn't expire when you relapse; bring to light, and He meets you again”

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY:
And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
2 KINGS 13:19
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, as I continue to experience Your Goodness in my life, I will remember the moments where I cried out to You and chose to honor You in all that I do. I confess that when comfort and complacency try to rush into my life, I will stay focused and diligent to follow Your ways. As You give me the arrows of opportunity to live out my dreams, unlike the King in 2 Kings 13, I will continue to strike the ground countless times because I know that my victory will not be a one time event but will usher in a victorious lifestyle. Similar to the life of Elisha, position me to leave a legacy of honoring and loving You with my whole heart. I will not stop until I hear the words…. “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

BROKEN KINGS AND A DYING PROPHET:
Have you ever felt like you finally found peace, only to notice the same old habit creeping back in? It is exhausting to feel hopeful one day and ashamed the next, wondering if you will ever really change.

In 2 Kings 13:4-5, King Jehoahaz cried out under pressure, and God answered with mercy and relief. But once life calmed down, he drifted right back. God still kept pursuing His people through Elisha, showing that His love is steady even when ours wavers. And when we bring our failure into the light, 1 John 1:9 reminds us He is faithful to forgive and cleanse.

If you have slipped, you have not been abandoned. Ask Him for a steady heart today, and take one small step toward what is healthy and true. His presence does not depend on your perfect track record; He will meet you again.
