Summer is just starting, and already I feel like I am behind on the garden/landscaping around the house. So little time and so much to do, new music to find, new dance moves to practice, costumes to sew...new dark green skirt coming soon. And costumes to sell before Egypt trip.

I know it is over a year away, but I've started thinking about what to bring to Egypt. I think I'm going to go very minimalist. I know from last time I will need lots of room for shopping, so I'm axing the soap, shampoo.... and will get it there. I LOVED the shampoo I got last time. They have really nice products and cheaper than here. Same with clothes, I loved buying the dresses from the market and they are so comfy. I just need a toothbrush and deodorant and an empty suitcase!!

We had to say a final goodbye to Pirate. He was a stray that ended up on a neighbors' farm the same day as the graduatio...

We had to say a final goodbye to Pirate. He was a stray that ended up on a neighbors' farm the same day as the graduation party for one of their kids. He was small, hungry, and loud. We walked home with him and he vocalized the entire way. That should have been a clue. He was a howler, a snuggler and a droolier--usually in your mouth when you were sleeping. What a way to wake up. Through diabetes, a broken leg, midnight howls and puking up the mice he ate, we enjoyed all 18 years of having him with us. I know he is somewhere in a big catnip field with his play mates. Harley, Diva, and Mattie. Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do but the love that they give, and the wonderful memories help to ease the pain.
