🎨 Adaptive Art Lab is back on Saturday, September 19th! 🎨

Join us from 1:00–3:00 PM for an open studio art workshop designed for adults & teens (16+) on the autism spectrum.

This session is all about creating space to create β€” reduced lighting and sound, limited enrollment, predictable structure, and flexible pacing, so participants can explore painting, drawing, ceramics, fiber art, beadwork, and more at their own speed.

No pressure, no judgment β€” just a supportive setting to make art alongside peers.

Led by instructor Lily Worster, who brings years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities through art and direct support services.

πŸ”— Spots are limited β€” lhttps://www.hunterdonartmuseum.org/events/adaptive-art-lab-4/

Support for this program is provided in part by a grant from The Astle-Alpaugh Family Foundation. πŸ’›

πŸ•ŠοΈπŸŒŒ Time is running out to see these two amazing exhibitions.

Cosmic Crossing, Christine Romanell's augmented reality art experience, was created for the "Out of Bounds" residency in collaboration with the Red Mill Museum Village. This immersive digital installation has invited visitors to explore art in a whole new dimension β€” and it closes August 31, 2026.

The Peace Flag Project, presented by the Red Mill Museum Village and Hunterdon Art Museum in collaboration with Handwork 2026, brings together a fiber chain of nearly 1,200 community-made flags displayed along the banks of the Raritan River and pedestrian bridge. Created by local scouts, school children, senior centers, professional artists, civic groups and countless individuals, the flags symbolically and physically link our two museums in a celebration of peace, unity, and creativity β€” part of the state and nation's yearlong 250th anniversary celebrations. The flags come down August 30, 2026, though a permanent digital exhibit will preserve each maker's story in their own words.

Come experience both before they're gone β€” a rare chance to see cutting-edge digital art and a community-built tribute to peace, side by side. ✨
