Disney’s Newsies hits the stage in a high-energy production presented by LCCT in partnership with Presbyterian College. Inspired by a true story, this Tony Award-winning musical follows Jack Kelly and a group of newsboys who take a stand against unfair conditions and discover the power of speaking up.

Audition Dates:
• Monday, Dec 8 | 7-9pm
• Tuesday, Dec 9 | 7-9pm
Video Submissions: Close Dec 9 at midnight at LCCT.net

Callbacks:
• Saturday, Dec 13 | 7-9pm
• Sunday, Dec 14 | 7-9pm (if necessary)

Performances: April 16, 17, 18, & 19
Rehearsals TBD - we are flexible with conflicts that do not affect tech week (Apr 12-15) or performances.

WHO CAN AUDITION?

Auditions are open to all ages and talent levels.

WHAT TO BRING

• A 1-minute dramatic monologue (memorized)
• A song in the style of the show (16–32 bars / 30–60 seconds)
• Backing track on your phone (Bluetooth speaker provided)
• For callbacks: wear clothes you can move in- you will be dancing

WHAT TO EXPECT

Auditions are closed. Arrive anytime between 7-9pm; you’ll be seen in order of arrival.
You’ll introduce yourself, perform your monologue, and then sing.
Parents may wait in the lobby.

Callbacks run 7-9pm; expect to stay the full time. We will read sides, sing, and dance.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

Your video must include:
• Name, age, role(s) you’re auditioning for
• Song title & monologue title
• 1-minute dramatic monologue
• 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show
Upload your video to YouTube or another service and submit a viewable link.
