Yet another alumni - Alicia Roscup was one of my FIRST students! So proud of her accomplishments, and excited for her journey with her little future dancer 😉….
“To say that dance has impacted my life would be an understatement. Thanks to Tara, her staff, and their desire to help others grow in more than just the art, dance has aided in growing me into the person I am today.
I began taking recreational classes in second grade when RISE PAC was known as On Track Family Fitness Dance and just recently retired in 2020. During those 25 years I progressed from recreational classes to competitive then became an assistant and eventually a teacher. I even ran a summer dance program using what I learned! Throughout that time, I was taught how to value myself and hard work over a trophy or ribbon. I learned how to be gracious, humble, kind, and that words can never be taken back. I not only learned these valuable life lessons, but also made life-long friendships. Friends made during my time with the company have become like family as we attend one anothers' weddings, celebrate the birth of children, weep with one another during hardship, and spend time together regularly.
Today, I teach fourth grade at a local elementary school, am married to a wonderful husband, and recently welcomed our first child into the world. I used to hope and pray that I was able to instill even an ounce of what I learned through dance into my dance and school students, but now I hope I can exemplify those characteristics to my own daughter. Thank you Tara, Cody, and all the staff of RISE PAC for not only helping me to grow as a person and standing by my side all those years, but for doing the same for countless others!”- Alicia Roscup
