Sampson County Parks and Recreation would like to extend another huge THANK YOU to Coach Oates and the Union High School Football team and coaching staff for partnering with us for last night’s youth Football camp over in Spartan Country!
These young athletes had an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, improve their game, and receive instruction directly from the Coaches and the Players in Union.

The energy and encouragement they brought to the field made the evening that much more fun and memorable!
Partnerships like this mean so much to our department and the communities we serve. Seeing high school athletes give their time, share their knowledge, and serve as positive role models for the next generation is what youth sports are all about!

Thank you again to Coach Oates, the Union High School Football team, Union High School, and everyone who helped make this camp possible. We are grateful to have such outstanding partners helping us grow the game of Football throughout Sampson County!

We’re excited to team up with the Union High School Football Team & Coaching Staff for another great school partnership camp!

Young athletes will have the opportunity to get on the field with Union’s players and coaches for an evening focused on football fundamentals, skill development, teamwork, and FUN!

Whether your child is brand new to football or already loves the game, all skill levels are welcome!

Registration is wrapping up later this week, and we’re ready to get our 2026 SCPR Fall Sports season underway! Families, please check out the information below for assessments, tackle football practices, and volleyball clinics.

MIDWAY DISTRICT
🏐 Monday, August 31 — Volleyball | Midway Elementary School Gym
• 6:00 PM — Ages 7–9
• 7:00 PM — Ages 10–12

🏈 Tuesday, September 1 — Flag Football | Clement Ballpark
• 6:00 PM — Ages 4–6
• 7:00 PM — Ages 7–9

LAKEWOOD DISTRICT

Union will NOT be holding assessments. Practices will begin shortly!

🏈 TACKLE FOOTBALL
Tackle football practices will begin NEXT WEEK at each coach’s discretion. Coaches will be contacting their players and families by the end of this week with practice information.

🏈 10-13 FLAG FOOTBALL
13U Flag Football will be notified by next Monday about what’s next after registration is fully completed Sunday night.

🏐 VOLLEYBALL CLINICS
Our volleyball clinics will begin later in September, with dates expected to be finalized by early to mid-September. Stay tuned for more information!

Sampson County Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the Lakewood High School Football Team & Coaching Staff for a FREE one-day Rising Stars Football Camp!

📅 TONIGHT — AUGUST 25TH

FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED!

There is still time to register for Sampson County Parks & Recreation’s 2026 Fall Sports season! Registration will remain open until Sunday night, August 23rd.

Programs available:

* Flag Football: Ages 4–6, 7–9 and 10–13
* Tackle Football: Ages 10–12
* Volleyball: Ages 4–6, 7–9 and 10–12

Registration is $50. Scholarships are available for families with financial need.

Assessments are scheduled for Tuesday, August 25th and Thursday, August 27th.

📍Assessment schedules will not be finalized until registration officially closes.

Sampson County Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with our local high school volleyball programs to offer FREE volleyball camps for young athletes across Sampson County!

These camps give players in grades K–8th an opportunity to learn directly from local high school coaches and teams, develop their volleyball skills, and have some fun on the court!
