Meet Eleanor. She'd say she was a little fancy; her friends would probably say she's a little eccentric. She doesn't mind that description. She likes what she likes, and she thinks you should "do you" too.

I've taken some abstract portrait classes from Stacy Spangler and Amanda Evanston...I think there's some pieces of both living in Eleanor!

I'm falling a little behind, but that's ok...I'll get there!:) The prompt from 3 days ago was circles.

I started by using acrylics and some round sponges to cover a canvas with circles (photo 2), then used ink to turn them into flowers. I recently found some 3d glaze pens that I am loving...they are so juicy and bold! New supplies are such fun!

Prompt: Vines

I love this type of 28 day challenge for pushing my boundaries. I wasn't really sure where I was going with this prompt, but I'm kind of happy with where it ended up! After playing with inks, acrylics, and some glaze pens, I think it's almost there:) I may go back and add a few more darks...or maybe I will leave it alone. We'll see!

Today's prompt: musical

So many times, I struggle to decide when a piece is "done". I kind of loved the simple sweetness before I added the gold, but still felt like it needed more...and I really love the way gold tends to bring a painting to life. But then I hear that little voice saying "should I have left it alone"?? LOL. I think I'll do two, so I dont have to decide!! Which one do you prefer??

Today's prompt: floppy!

Sometimes, you just have to chuckle:) I started working on the second painting first...with the intention of going floppy! Instead, I ended up with a decidedly un-floppy floral:) I still like her, but she definitely didn't meet the brief!! Lol. So I gave it a second try...and ended up with these tulips. I'm going to call this one "Hang on for one more day".

It's time for another challenge! I learned so much and met so many great people through my first ever social media challenge last month ( ), so I thought I'd give this one a try...especially since its FLOWERS!! This is Amanda Evanston's . I'm a day late to the party, so here is the day 1 prompt (spotted) and the day 2 prompt (mint).

These are 8x8 cradled wood panels that I've been experimenting with. I like their sturdiness (as opposed to canvas), especially if I am applying (as I've been talking about SO much lately!!). And yes, these are both resin-ed, with that beautiful shiny surface!!

My polka dots count as spots, right??

FINAL prompt: BIG Dream

I have two big art dreams. One is SO big, I'm not sure it's even doable...but I guess I will put it out here in the universe and see what happens:)
We live in a beautiful little town. In the center of town is a small green space, with a gazebo. Across the street from that green space is a row of store fronts..."Park Row". My BIG, HUGE dream would be to have a gallery/studio space in one of those storefronts... a place to work, where I could have open studio time to invite people in to chat about art and anything else, a place where I could hang my art, and decorate in bright happy colors. Oh, and there would definitely be cupcakes:)

My other big dream, one that is probably somewhat more manageable, is to get my art on products...coffee mugs, water bottles, pillows, that kind of thing. I just think it would be so fun to see someone having their morning coffee out of their favorite mug, which just happens to have my art on it! Stay tuned...that one may be happening in the near future!
