One of the coolest things parts of learning about contemporary artists is that sometimes they’re able to see students’ work! This year three contemporary artists saw and responded to art made by CCS students!
5th grade students learned about Se Jong Cho, an artist and scientist, and how she incorporates scientific processes into her art. Cho not only saw and commented on student work, she also reposted some!
Kindergarten students learned about Anna Blatman’s flower paintings, and they were excited to learn she had seen and admired their work.
Lastly, Jae Yong Kim responded to work 2nd-6th grade students had made inspired by his donut sculptures.
Just another fun reason to be excited about contemporary art and its artists!
