Back in 2011, 15 years ago, I was in the Wagon Wheel Cafe in Greenbrier, AR and took some surreptitious photos while eating burgers with my art friends, then came home and did several studies. These are unframed watercolors, some ink, fairly large, especially if matted and framed; images are about 22 x 15. I wonder if these folks still solve all the world problems there, I hope so, and if Elvis is still hanging on the wall. I drew one of the inks with a stick to keep it looser...Which one do you like best? They are still available if anyone is interested, unframed, today's price is $150 each, 2 for $270, all 3 for $400, free shipping. Let me know in the comments below and I can PM you.

"Prayer for My Bath", about 12: diameter, watercolor, exhibited in the 2025 Conway League of Artists spring show "ArtVerse". The following poem was the inspiration for this mixed media painting:

Suzanne Underwood Rhodes, Poet Laureat of Arkansas

Prayer for My Bath
May I soak long in the motherly heat
of water and soap in a tub curved
like a swan, let my mind float with my skin
past things of weight, old troubles,
not think at all but dream, a spirit
at rest, a fetus, a guest of the Carlisles,
and then lie bare and baby-washed
under their quilt and downy spread
in a room just for me, the way it feels
to be born again and loved in a world
made new, like snow falling
on the other side of stained glass.

A few birds...what was the first bird you saw or heard this Jan. 1, 1026? Mine was a Turkey Vulture, soaring lazily and swooping low over our trees...a favorite sight.
