Wedding packages start at $995.00 for a 6-hour reception. What is includes, your DJ, dancefloor lights, wireless microphone (for toasts and presentations) also full consultation before the event. We will meet in person for the first and final consultation to over every detail (timeline, music and correct name pronunciation of your bridal party) to make sure that your reception is exactly what you want and expect.

We are also your on-site coordinator with your venue and the other vendors you have hired to make sure that your reception goes as smooth as possible. We also offer packages for your ceremony (on same property) that includes the music that you pick out for your ceremony and wireless lapel microphone on your efficient and groom so that your guests can hear your special moment.

What makes M.K. Entertainment different than other services? We listen to our clients. You have a vision of what you want for your wedding or event. From the beginning you are taking with the owner DJ Mike Kirouac. From the first contact to the final consultation DJ Mike is available for any questions pertaining to your event. I personally meet with every client from the initial consultation (during the first consultation I listen to what your vision is. You get to know me and decide if M.K. Entertainment is the right fit for your wedding or event), when I do your final consultation, I go over every detail of the wedding or event. Including music, timeline and name pronunciation. I also encourage every client to make a do not play list, that way songs that you really do not like will not be played.

Our music library is from 1928 to today’s top 40 with different ethnic music available. Our music is updated monthly from R.P.M. the same company that sends new releases to the radio stations around the country. If there is a song that you want that is not in our music library, we will make sure that it is available and ready to be played. We also only play edited music for all weddings and events. I want to make sure that everything played is non offensive and can be enjoyed by you and your guests.

M.K. Entertainment doesn’t do just weddings. We do graduation parties, anniversary’s, charity events, night clubs and anything that needs entertainment. We also do destination weddings with the same presentation that we do locally. We transport our equipment (within reasonable driving distance. Lower 48 states) to give our presentation for every event. We also go over every detail with our client to make sure that everything they want is what we will do for them.

We are also the on-site coordinator with the venue and other vendors at your event to make sure that it goes as close to your vision as possible.

Get to know DJ Mike.

I started DJing in 1982 at 14 years old at Macomb Skating Center in Roseville Michigan. My mentor Eddie, taught me the different ways to play songs and how to mix them together seamlessly. I used this as an opportunity to experiment and to learn as much as I could.

In 1986 I started doing weddings under the name Delight Entertainment. I had an agent and was getting booked regularly for weddings and events while still DJing at Macomb Skating Center. I wanted to keep learning more and to keep getting better at what I do.

While still booking weddings and events I became a club DJ. Doing some major clubs in the Metropolitan Detroit area. I was keeping very busy. I also started working as an entertainment agent. I was booking local and national acts for private and public events.

In 1999 I changed the name of the company to M.K. Entertainment. At this point only concentrating on weddings and events. I started to customize every event to the way my clients wanted. At that point almost every wedding was the same thing, ran exactly the same way. The first time I asked a client “what would you like to do to make your reception stand out and make it more memorable”? The reaction was excellent. The client was actually shocked that the old traditional wedding reception could be changed to what they wanted and make it more personable. This idea took off with every client.

On every first consultation I listened and found out what every client really wanted for their wedding. Now, there are some things that I am not capable of doing. If there is something I can’t do I let me clients know up-front. I don’t ever want to tell a client that I can do something that I can’t do and be honest about it. This has only happened a couple of times since 1999. If there is someone, I can recommend to take care of that need I will give the client the contact information (I only recommend people that I know have an excellent reputation and that I have personally worked with before).

I have also been the featured DJ for Fox 2 news here in Detroit for tailgates in Eastern Market before the Lions home games.

I have been DJing now for 43 years and had the service now for 39 years. I always make sure to play edited music for every guest to enjoy what music is played without any vulgar language. My music library is updated through Radio Programming Management the same company that sends new music to the radio stations in the U.S. and all of the songs are radio edits.

I also am your on-site coordinator for your event. I coordinate with the venue and other vendors to make sure that everything goes as smooth as possible.

Join DJ Mike Kirouac for Michael Jackson vs Prince night at Skate World Of Troy on Wednesday June 17, 2026 from 8:30pm until 11:00pm. I will be playing music from Michael (including The Jacksons and The Jackson 5) and Prince (including The Time and Vanity/ Appollonia 6) all night long. Admission to theis event is $11.00 per person and skate rental if needed is extra. Come and join me for the special event!

We at M.K. Entertainment not only do weddings and events. We work with several charitable organizations during the year. Charity events for Leader Dogs for the Blind, The Motor City Mitten Mission, American Brain Tumor and The Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise that supports several local charities.

We believe that giving back to the community and helping charities raise money is the right thing to do. In the future we will be expanding the charities that we work with.
