SORDS plays STRAUSS!

We are thrilled to welcome American violinist Andrew Sords to the Macomb Symphony on April 19th! Described by critics as "utterly radiant" and "technically superb," Andrew has captivated audiences across four continents with his soulful playing and magnetic stage presence.

Composed when Strauss was just 17 years old, this piece is a rare and breathtaking masterpiece. It combines the classical elegance of Mozart with the bold, soaring romanticism that Strauss would later become world-famous for. It’s a work of "quicksilver" speed and lyrical beauty that perfectly showcases Andrew’s mastery of the instrument.

You don’t want to miss the chance to see this world-renowned soloist bring a hidden treasure of the violin repertoire to life right here in Macomb! Experience the magic of Sords and Strauss. Tickets are moving fast—get yours today at macombsymphony.org!
