The Clifton Arts Center Gallery and Studio are housed in two renovated barns of the former U.S. The Clifton Arts Center is a municipally operated facility.

Animal Quarantine Station, now the grounds of Clifton Municipal Complex. The brick barns were built in the early twentieth century and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They have been joined together by a modern, airy atrium to create a unique venue for the exhibition of the visual arts. The Clifton Municipal Complex is already host to a sculpture garden containing the works

of more than 30 contemporary sculptures, and the opening of the Arts Center in January 2000 has given the City of Clifton the distinction of being one of the most arts-friendly municipalities in the Northeast. The Clifton Arts Center is located in the 26-acre Clifton Municipal Complex, Clifton Avenue and Van Houten Avenue. On entering the complex, go to Well Road and go up the hill; the Arts Center is located next to the Artesian well. The Clifton Arts Center and Sculpture Park in association with the City of Clifton Public Library seeks to preserve, enhance, interpret, and extend the reach of its programs for the benefit and well-being of citizens. A $3 admission entrance fee is required to view the exhibits for non-members. Please Note: The Arts Center is closed to the public on Legal Holidays and/or when the exhibits are being installed.

As the month of August ends, we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of art with our Water Lilies Art Workshop for adults and seniors.🎨

Under the guidance of art instructor Anastasia Janiak, participants were inspired to explore their creativity and imagination through acrylic painting. The afternoon included a look at Impressionist master artist, Claude Monet and his famous footbridge over the water lily pond, along with learning the process of painting techniques, brushstrokes, and ways to bring color and expression to the canvas.

Most importantly, there was the simple joy of creating art together—a wonderful way to spend an August afternoon. 🖌️

Last week, the Clifton Arts Center came alive with creativity as a talented group of young artists took part in Summer Art Camp 2026! 🎨✨

Through painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture, campers explored the elements and principles of art while turning each day into a new creative adventure. Highlights included walks through the Sculpture Park, hands-on projects with the Clifton Quilters Guild, a special visit from therapy dog Teddy, and a fun gallery scavenger hunt.

The week culminated in a Pop-Up Art Show and luncheon reception, generously sponsored by arts patron JK Realty. We are so grateful to the parents, families, friends, and our City of Clifton community leaders who joined us to celebrate the campers and their incredible artwork and imaginations. 💙

🌙 Join Us for an Evening of Music, Art & Inspiration! 🎶
We’re delighted to invite you to a special evening at the Clifton Arts Center on Friday, September 25th at 7:00 PM featuring Moonlight Symphony by Wood Vibrations.

Experience an innovative program of contemporary chamber music celebrating creativity, collaboration, and the American landscape.
🎵 Featured work: Terra, a bass clarinet quartet by Owen G. Davitt, takes listeners on a musical journey through four distinct landscapes, many inspired by locations across the United States.

✨ The evening will also feature three world premieres, with brand-new compositions by ensemble members Matthew Schmidt, Owen G. Davitt, Owen Davitt Music and Matthew Weger. Each work was created specifically for this performance and inspired by the visual art currently on display at the Clifton Arts Center.

🥂 Stay after the performance for a festive reception, generously sponsored by JK Realty. Enjoy light refreshments, meet and mingle with the musicians, and explore the original artwork featured in Moonlit Memories: Night Visions of America at 250.

Recently, the Clifton Quilters Guild presented a free public lecture, "150 Years of Quilting: Trunk Show and Talk." A special thank you to guest lecturers Arlan and Pat Christ, who shared their knowledge and passion while showcasing a remarkable collection of antique quilts.

Following the lecture, guests explored the "Celebrate America Through Quilting" exhibit, on display through August 22nd, featuring quilts representing all 50 states. There’s still time to experience the exhibit and shop the Pop-Up Boutique, which is part of this special event.

🎨 August is here, and we're excited to announce our Adult & Senior Art Workshop! 🌿

Join us on Thursday, August 27th, from 12:00–2:30 p.m. at the Clifton Arts Center for a fun and relaxing afternoon of painting. Participants will create a beautiful summer pond scene on a 12" × 16" canvas with easy, step-by-step instruction in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or returning to a favorite hobby, you'll leave with a completed painting and the confidence to keep creating!

👩‍🎨 The workshop is led by Clifton artist and resident Anastasia Janiak, an experienced artist and art educator with more than 11 years of inspiring creativity through community workshops, private events, and classroom instruction.

💲 Registration:
• $35 for Clifton residents
• $38 for non-residents

✨ All art supplies are included, and light refreshments will be served.
