The Tin Building Theatre (TBT) was organized as a sub-group of the Bosque Arts Center (BAC) in 1981. The group's first production, "Morning's At Seven," was presented in August 1982 at the Clifton Elementary School. Since that time, TBT has presented more than 135 productions, including comedies, dramas, musicals, summer melodramas, and children's theater. Named for the tin building which formerly

housed a manufacturing plant, the theater originally had no bathrooms, heating, air conditioning, or even a stage and curtain. Today, TBT has undergone a series of transformations and evolved into a modern model for rural community theaters. TBT is an all-volunteer group governed by a Board of Directors and one of several sub-groups encompassing the BAC umbrella. Through the decades, hundred of volunteers, from children to octogenarians, have worked to make TBT a first-class facility which benefits the residents of Bosque County and Central Texas. For more information at TBT, please give us a call at (254) 675-2278 or visit the BAC website at bosqueartscenter.org.

Community theatre is art because it brings stories to life through creativity, collaboration, and human connection. Through acting, directing, music, costumes, lighting, and design, community members create meaningful experiences that entertain, inspire, and move audiences.

Its value is not measured by budgets or professional status, but by its ability to express emotions, explore important themes, and connect people through storytelling. Community theatre enriches local culture by preserving classic works, introducing new voices, and providing opportunities for artistic expression. Most importantly, it builds community, fosters creativity, and reminds us of the power of shared human experiences.

The Tin Building Theatre creates the artwork of live theatrical performance for Bosque County and surrounding areas because we love our community and thrive to entertain and connect with our audiences. We create laughter, emotion, tears and togetherness through our form of art just for you.

Join us for the last weekend of Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling this June 12 or June 13. Tickets can be attained by calling 254-675-3724 or online at www.bosqueartscenter.org.
