Well, best laid plans mean nothing when it comes to the weather. Shirl's Toy Museum was hoping to start a new fun activity this 4th of July by sponsoring along with the Beautification Committee Clifton's first ever Remote Control Car Races.
However the sky decided to dump a whole lot of water down on us at just the wrong time.
We did hang around for quite a while after the rain stopped but by then people knew we had pretty much been rained out.
We will discuss the matter and if there is enough interest shone we may try it again sometime.
In the meantime I would like to thank the School for letting us use their drive as a track for the races. A big Thank You to Milton Leiszler, and Suzi & Danny Knoettgen for all their help. And a special Thanks to Ed Brunell for not only the physical help but for all the pointers he shared in going forward.( Sorry Ed for almost killing your race car. Boy do those things go fast)

Shirl's Toy Museum & Clifton Beautification Committee are co/sponsoring the Remote Control Car Races on July 4th at 10:00AM. The races will be held at the 1/2 moon drive south of the bus barn at the middle school. There will be 3 age groups: Ages 5-10/ ages 11-16/ & ages 17 & over. There will be a $10.00 entry fee (proceeds will go to city improvement projects) Racers need to bring their own car and need to compete in their age group. Winners will receive a Custom Made Trophy and of course have the Bragging Rights as the Champion of Clifton's first ever Remote Control Car Races. Grab your lawn chair and come out & enjoy the mayhem!! Hope to see you there.

Oops! Forgot your Valentines? Well Cliftonites you are in luck because The Toy Museum & Gift Shop at 305 Linden (2 blocks S. of main St.) will be OPEN tomorrow Thursday Feb 13th. From 10:00AM-3:00PM. No need to try to drive out of town.
We have Antique Valentine Cards, Jewelry, Heart Nesting Boxes, Heart String Lights, Heart Paper Weights, and so much more. Plus ALL VALENTINE PLUSH IS 1/2 PRICE!!! Come check it out!

Just want every to know that as of February 1, 2025 the Museum & Shop will no longer have designated days to be open. We will only be open by chance or by appointment.
Entry to the Museum is FREE and can be toured by calling Shirley at 785-455-3449. For the time being there will still be specials in the Gift Shop each month.
