Featured in our gallery shop today is: an awesome hand-made print by Lyons-based artist, Pat Bacon. Pat has exhibited here for many years in the Main Gallery & we also showcase her amazing printmaking work in our gallery shop!
This little gem is a photo polymer, hand inked & printed, intaglio-based card. To achieve this, Pat uses a newer photo polymer process (within the photogravure family of printmaking techniques) relying upon a light sensitive plate that once exposed to light and then etched/run through water (like the traditional, intaglio family of printmaking), is hand-inked, run through an etching press, and transferred onto the paper. Each print is unique in how it inks, transfers to paper, and runs through the press.
Her work has ties to landscape, place, & time--and often features the richness and diversity of organic forms found within nature. This card is 5x7 and was created in 2023. It is $15 and comes with a plastic sleeve--the ideal gift for the garden lover and beyond...
Pat Bacon is a Rochester-based contemporary printmaker who has been exhibiting work at Main Street Arts for a very long time. She is a member of the Print Club of Rochester, exhibits in solo, invitational, and group shows throughout our region and so, so much more.
