Ft. Edward came into the final day with a ton of energy, and Dave Lebrun set the tone early by sporting an absolutely amazing Pikachu hat to help boost team morale. โšก

Ft. Edward started the day down 7-3 against Albany, so they knew they had a tough battle ahead. Even with the pressure on, they continued to give it their all throughout the remainder of the event.

One of the biggest highlights of the entire weekend was Josh Scheff securing the only golden break of the event! That is an awesome achievement, especially with the 9-ball being racked on the spot.

Ft. Edward kept fighting, and Dave Louis & Kody Devino came in clutch, securing another point for their team and bringing the score to 10-4 by the fourth match.

Albany continued to apply pressure and eventually got on the hill in the race to 11, but Ft. Edward showed a lot of heart and refused to go down without a fight.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who supported the stream and the Capital Cup this weekend.

The final score may show Albany ahead, but it definitely does not show how close these matches were all day. Ft. Edward and Albany battled back and forth with tight sets, big finishes, and plenty of pressure moments.

The day kicked off with the standard team match format before moving into a rotation of doubles and singles, eventually circling back into another team match. There were several nail-biters, including a 5-4 win from Dave Lebrun over Chico Tiru, a tight 5-4 doubles win for Greg Spath & Chico Tiru against Dave Lebrun & Sulee D. and some strong statement matches from both sides.

I think Josh Scheff definitely shined through today! He's showed he still has heart in the game and came in with some clutch wins. I absolutely loved the energy Dave Lebrun & Sulee were bringing to the atmosphere. Both teams had great dynamics and kept the momentum going.

Day 1 wrapped up with doubles, where Tim Barcomb & Chico Tiru closed it out strong with a 5-1 win over Kody Devino & Dave Louis.

Albany has the lead, but this rematch is far from over. Day 2 is going to be one to watch!
