FUNDRAISER UPDATE!!!
We are there, friends! There are only two teens left that don't yet have a sponsor to fill their bag! Both teens are 16 year old boys, which we all know can be a tricky group to buy for! So, to cut down on the frustration of shopping for a 16 year old boy, we would love it if you would consider sending us a $25 donation via Venmo and we will go do the shopping for you! That way, you are still helping us provide a little holiday cheer to a couple of deserving kids who might not otherwise receive much. ❤❤

📣 ATTENTION ALL ELVES📣

It's that time again! Time for our 3rd Annual Adopt a Child gift drive to benefit the older children at Cheryl's Lodge ❤️ Toy drives are great, but they often focus on younger kids, leaving the middle and high schoolers to be overlooked. For the last 2 years, we have worked with Cheryl's Lodge to provide amazing donations to the older kids and we need your help to do it again!

We are looking for people to sign up for one child and FILL a 19" x 27" Santa Sack. This could mean 10-15 gifts of various sizes, so often people will sponsor a Sack with a partner or group!

Fall vignettes and individual items going live soon. See anything that suits your fancy? What’s your favorite part of decorating for fall? For me? It’s the pumpkins. All the damn pumpkins. I can’t get enough. Oh, and the colors. All the colors.… neutrals, oranges and yellows, jewel tones, earth tones.…. I love it all.

Hey there. It’s Leslie here. Your long absent sign making/workshop teaching friend. As I prepare my collection of furniture and home decor pieces to offer you……. I’m curious about something. What’s your decorating style? Or, rather, what’s the style you aspire to have in your home? Modern Farmhouse? Boho? Mid century Modern? Coastal? French Provincial? Eclectic? No idea? Personally, I’m all over the damn place. I like elements of almost everything, which makes our home a bit of a mish mosh but I kind of love that about our place. The furniture and decor in our home is truly a reflection of my personality….. wacky, colorful, unique and loaded with nostalgia. The truth is, I don’t have a newly built or renovated dream home that’s been professionally designed and decorated with my specific taste in mind. I don’t think most people do, so I work with what I have or (more accurately) around what I have. Cue the burgundy floral carpeting on the stairs and upstairs hallway and the blue floral wallpaper in the half bath and the dark cabinetry in the kitchen and the fussy fake marble mantle in the family room….. All of it was lovingly selected my the previous owners (my in-laws) and NONE of it is my taste. We haven’t had the budget to change all of that in the nearly four years we’ve been here and I’m not handy enough to do all of that on my own (or without Kyleen’s help). So, I find things I love (or recreate things I see) and try to fill my space with what makes me happy, even if it isn’t cohesive from room to room. So, I’d like to invite you to share with us what design elements and home decor make you happy? I’m hoping to curate a collection of treasures that bring you joy and maybe get some of those ideas off of your Pinterest boards and Instagram feeds and onto your walls and shelves and floors. So, tell me, what’s your jam???

So real talk: Powder Rooms kinda suck to DIY. They're so tiny it can be hard to move around, plus it's usually so hot in those rooms. Everytime I'm working on one, I say that's it I'm not doing another but then I finish and the end result is SO FREAKING GOOD that I keep going back for more. 🤣 I mean, look at this bathroom I finished up this week! Can you stand how beautiful it is?? This was a boring, plain white box (swipe through for the before photo) and now it's a gorgeous showstopper thanks to the wallpaper, the dark navy blue ceiling and the board and batten which I finished off with a wood cap and I think it really warms up the room and elevated the final result. 😍

What do you think? Was this the result worth the frustration? Cause I kinda think it was...🤣♥️😎

Another fireplace refresh (mostly) in the books! This was an interesting one because there were more than a few obstacles we had to figure out in order to modernize this focal point.

The biggest issue here is that asymmetry drives me crazy. And was driving my client crazy. It wasn't in the budget to do more than a facelift here, so how do we minimize the off center-ness?

Hint: start by removing the bookcases 😳, which was doing nothing more than drawing attention to the fact that this area is asymmetrical.

The old mantle was 🙄 and nowhere near level, which meant I had to really build up the structure for the new mantle, which I built and installed and am completely in love with. 💕 It's far beefier than the old one and visually makes a much more contemporary statement.

This one is also a tag team project, I did a lot but my client painted the brick and is taking it from here! This is one of the reasons I love being a DIYer. Working with clients to create something together is so much fun and I love seeing other women being involved in DIY as well!

Remember that Laundry/Mudroom I did two weeks ago?? Well she got new floors today!!! If I had this space, I would never complain about doing laundry! Actually I'm sure I would, but isn't it so pretty???? 🤩🤩

Today I was able to squeeze in one more project before our upcoming vacation and I'm so pleased with how this Feature Wall turned out! It makes a huge first impression when walking through the front door 😍.

Did you know I offer three different package options for feature walls? Package #1 is a design only option, Package #2, seen here, includes the design and installation and all the pre-paint prep work but leaves the painting of the wall to you. What a rush!!! The last few days have been so busy/crazy/productive and frankly I am having a hard time finding the words to explain how cool this whole project was for me. My amazing client, .c.courtney not only hired me to redo her Laundry Room/Mudroom while her husband was out of town as a surprise for him, but she also trusted me to keep it a surprise from her! With the exception of the Herringbone door, she had NO IDEA what was happening in this room until this afternoon, when I was finished and she was allowed to open the door. I was way too nervous to try to record her reaction, but Man, that was FUN. 😍 THANK YOU THANK YOU, Heather, for trusting me because I kinda felt like my favorite builder/designer today (I want to be when I grow up. Never mind that she's younger than me!😂)

I think I may have one more project in me before heading on vacation! 😃
