So proud of this crew. We had quite the weekend in Texas Hill Country. We dodged scorps, sang with the coyotes, and found new ways to write from places we hadn’t yet explored. Serious play. Big fun.

Our next songwriting retreat will be at the beautiful - a 500-acre Texas Hill Country property is an hour from Austin, TX and will surely provide plenty of inspiration for our writing and disconnection from our everyday lives.
Stay in a vintage Airstream, sleep under the stars on the sleeping porch, or bring along your own tent. Something tells me we won’t be spending much time inside! I love walking the retreat properties looking for little spots to sit down and write - I know you will, too.

We’ll spread out for speedwriting sessions, team up for collaborations, discuss songwriting topics as a group, and celebrate everything we create at nightly listening circles.

This time next week (Thursday PM), 9 of us will descend on The Stanford House in Cuyahoga Valley National Park to write, connect, and work. We’ll write by ourselves during the speedwriting sessions, connect through collaboration and discussion, and work tirelessly to break down barriers left by our previous selves. Can’t wait.

Very excited to officially announce the next TERRA Songwriting Retreat will be September 16-19 at the idyllic River Mountain.
I’m excited to explore the land while doing personal speedwriting sessions and hanging in the many gathering areas for focused time in collaboration. The nightly listening circles in the barn (we’ll be the only animals allowed) will surely be a special memory.
I already feel such anticipation and gratitude for being able to host these retreats. So many special moments to look back on - and so many to look forward to. I hope you’ll consider joining.

I'm thrilled to announce that the next TERRA Songwriting Retreat will be June 3-6 at The Woodland Lodge in western PA. I'm excited to explore their 300 acres of woodlands and trails!
These retreats have been the source of so much joy, inspiration, and progress in my own life - and I hope that has overflowed to the attendees. I count it such a privilege to be a part of other people's growth in writing and collaborating. The speedwriting sessions push us to set aside our distractions and get work done - and the collaboration sessions encourage us to work towards a shared goal and story. The nightly listening circles offer a safe space to share what we've worked on that day and, wow, are they fun. Sometimes they even break into celebratory dance parties to pay tribute to the day's hard work. Will you join this retreat in June? I promise to hold your time as sacred and will empower you to see past your internal obstacles and write more than you thought possible in a mere weekend. Let's get to it.
