Meet our new summer intern, Bella Smith, joining SPACES through the The Cleveland Foundation Summer Internship Program.

Bella is a lifelong Lakewood resident and a 2026 graduate of Cleveland State University, where she studied Studio Art and Art History. This fall, she will continue her studies in sculpture and ceramics at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s post-baccalaureate program, exploring themes of women’s experiences and domesticity through her work.

Bella plans to pursue an MFA in 2027 with the goal of teaching art at the university level. This summer, she’ll be supporting research and planning for SPACES’ upcoming 50th anniversary exhibition series.

Join us for SOUND:MEDS, an immersive evening of light art, live music, and silent meditation organized by LaToya Kent.

This experimental shared-space experience invites rest, reflection, creativity, and connection through sound and stillness. Bring whatever makes you comfortable to sit or lay on during the session. 🌙

See Uno Lady’s improv performance in link 🔗 On April 4, at SPACES I had the honor of collaborating with Steve Parker’s installation, Fight Song.

This incredible installation used an EEG brain monitor to translate my brainwaves into a live musical composition that plays through the suspended instruments. I started the performance with a mindful meditation and belted improv accapella vocals live with the installation. Singing starts around 6 minutes. Thanks for watch and listening.

The Satellite Fund 2026 is now OPEN! ✨

SPACES and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts present The Satellite Fund, an opportunity for artists to explore the very reaches of their discipline providing grants of $12,000 each to 5 artists/artist collectives in 2026.
