MEET THE TEAM

Today we're introducing Robert Gatewood, founder of Master Collective, GamerHaven, and is the new owner of The Collinwood Observer. He's also one of Cleveland's leading voices in Games Culture.

For years, Robert has championed the idea that Games Culture is more than entertainment—it is a lens through which we can better understand creativity, community, education, and human connection;

"Games Culture is Human Culture"

Through Master Collective, his work has helped create opportunities for people to gather, learn, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships through shared experiences.

Many of the ideas explored through Empowering the Culture—including community building, cultural storytelling, and Games Culture as a vehicle for engagement—align closely with the work Robert continues to champion throughout Cleveland.

As a featured contributor to Empowering the Culture, Robert will help lead conversations exploring the history, impact, and future of Games Culture, while helping preserve the stories and experiences that have shaped our communities.

Empowering the Culture

This summer, INFINITEQUE is launching its most ambitious public initiative to date!

From July 8 through August 12, Empowering the Culture is a six-week games culture series in Cleveland, Ohio, designed to bring community together through storytelling, technology, and shared experiences.

Hosted at Atlas Cinemas at Shaker Square, the series explores how games shape identity, relationships, creativity, and opportunity through a dynamic blend of:

TEQUE KNOW LOGIC Live
— Conversations on culture, identity, community, and lived experience

NEXUS Gaming League
— Community-centered competitive gaming tournaments

GamerGen: Where Stories Emerge
— Personal stories and memories that reveal the impact of Games Culture across generations

GamerHaven Commons
— A welcoming space for social play, conversation, and connection

Each Wednesday is designed as a complete Games Culture experience—bringing together discussion, competition, storytelling, and community under one roof.

This isn't just about games.

It's about people.

It's about the Shaker-Buckeye neighborhood and the communities that have long shaped Cleveland's cultural identity, while recognizing the role games have played in bringing people together across generations.

From arcades and living rooms to libraries, tournaments, livestreams, and esports, games have helped create friendships, inspire creativity, and build communities.

Now, we're creating space to recognize that intentionally—and to build from it together.
