The Starwood Festival (created by the Association for Consciousness Exploration) features over 15 performances of music, drumming, dance, magic and theater. Its a multiversity featuring over 150 classes, workshops and ceremonies offered by teachers from many fields, disciplines, traditions and cultures. It's a family-friendly camping event with tenting and hiking, a food court, co-op child care, a

Kid Village, our inflatable PufferDome for dance parties and multimedia shows. Starwood is also a social event with costume parades, jam sessions, merchants, parties, all-night drumming and much more, including our geodesic DidgeDome and our huge and infamous Bonfire! Wisteria Event Campground, the site for this year's Starwood Festival, is 620-acres of beautiful southern Ohio land, half devoted to a nature sanctuary. It features ample camping areas, a large stage, a restaurant pavilion (Caffeina's Cosmic Cafe'), an all-night drumming area (The Paw Paw Patch), hot showers, an evening pub (The Green Man Tavern), a filtered swimming pond, the Kids' Village activities area, free wi-fi, several workshop and ceremony areas, a large bonfire field and much more.

One of the things that has always made Starwood special is that it is built by the community, for the community.

We’re looking for talented graphic designers who love Starwood and would be willing to donate some of their time and creative skills to help us create flyers, social media graphics, promotional materials, and other marketing pieces throughout the year.

Whether you’re a professional designer, a student, or a passionate hobbyist, we’d love to find more ways to involve community members in helping shape how Starwood is shared with the world.

✨ Did you spend any time at Creation Station this year? ✨

Tucked among the bustle of Starwood is a space dedicated to imagination, curiosity, and making something with your own two hands.

Throughout the week, attendees stopped by to create, learn, experiment, and leave with little pieces of magic to take home. From sigils and witch’s brooms to shell art, ornaments, decorations, and countless other creations, the Creation Station became a gathering place for artists, crafters, dreamers, and anyone inspired to try something new.

A huge thank you to every presenter, volunteer, and participant who shared their skills, supplies, creativity, and time. Your contributions transformed this space into something warm, welcoming, organized, and alive with inspiration all week long. 💜

Did you happen to cross paths with these enchanting stilt-walking witches?

Meet Jen and Sam, two of Starwood’s beloved Fire Goddesses, who spent the week gliding through the woods and sprinkling a little extra magic wherever they went. Towering above the crowd in shimmering skirts, wide-brimmed hats, and shades of purple worthy of a midsummer spell, they looked as though they had stepped straight out of an enchanted storybook.

They reminded us that at Starwood, you never know what delightful surprise awaits around the next corner.

One moment you’re heading to a workshop. The next, you’re sharing a smile with a pair of whimsical witches drifting through the trees beneath the summer sky.

✨🔥 Happy New Year, Starwood Family. 🔥✨

As the embers cool and the tents come down, our hearts are still glowing from the magic we created together at Starwood XLVI.

To every attendee who made the journey, every performer who shared their gifts, every presenter who sparked new ideas, every artist who brought beauty into the woods, every volunteer who gave their time and energy, and to Wisteria and their incredible team for the care and hospitality they show our community year after year - thank you.

We laughed together, learned together, danced together, sang together, celebrated together, and even weathered a little bit of rain together. Through the summer heat, the muddy paths, the sunshine, the storms, and everything in between, you helped create another unforgettable chapter in the story of Starwood.

For many of us, Saturday night’s bonfire marks something special. It is our New Year’s Eve. A time to reflect on the week behind us, celebrate the connections we’ve made, and look forward to what comes next. So once again…

Happy New Year, Starwood.

Thank you for filling the woods with creativity, curiosity, kindness, laughter, music, and love. Thank you for being part of a community that continues to inspire us year after year.

When the sun goes down, the Didge Dome transforms.

Green laser beams shoot into the night sky, the Didge Walls come alive with light and color, and the woods become something straight out of a dream. It’s one of those places you wander into for “just a minute” and somehow find yourself still there hours later.

🔥 Music.
🌲 Magic.

🌌 Late-night conversations under the stars.

Today’s featured ride belongs to none other than Starwood’s very own fairy godmother, Rosencomet Project President Nancy Mitchell.

This royal chariot is overflowing with pink petals, princess magic, and enough sparkle to make even the woodland fae stop and stare. 🌸💖✨

Part enchanted carriage, part mobile kingdom, this ride is serving full-on “once upon a Starwood” energy - and honestly, we’re not surprised. If you’ve ever met Nancy, you know she brings kindness, community, and a little bit of magic everywhere she goes.

Pictured here is the enchanting Erica Sodos - magician, mentalist, storyteller, and weaver of wonder - bringing her unique blend of magic, intuition, laughter, and faerie charm to Starwood Festival XLVI. For more than three decades, Erica has been captivating audiences with performances designed to remind us that the world is far more magical than we sometimes allow ourselves to believe.

Whether she’s sharing tales of the fae, bending minds with impossible mysteries, or simply sprinkling joy wherever she goes, Erica embodies the spirit of Starwood itself: curiosity, imagination, transformation, and play.

And honestly? This photo looks exactly like what happens when a woodland faerie steps out from between the trees to see if the humans are having enough fun yet. 🌿✨

The woods are glowing. 💜✨

Tucked beneath the trees, the Pufferdome has transformed into a living work of art - music pulsing from within, projections dancing across the dome, and a whole little world of light and sound unfolding under the stars.

Some people are inside dancing.
Some are wandering through in awe.
Some are doing exactly what we were doing - standing quietly off to the side, taking it all in.

That’s one of the beautiful things about Starwood: there isn’t just one way to experience the magic.

Whether you come for the music, the workshops, the community, the late-night adventures, or simply to sit beneath the stars and soak it all in, there’s still time to join us.

The festival is alive.
The campfires are burning.
The stages are buzzing.
