Cleaning out some drawers I found these cards and the timing was so profound to me. It was Friday March 18th, 2011 that I worked my last day in this position with a company I'd been with for 11 years at that point. I walked away from a full time job with GREAT benefits and as I would always say "decent" pay....lots of responsibility and AWESOME working relationships with a TON of people in various departments as the supervisor of all "dock and shipping & receiving" activities. I left with no full time well paying job in sight and went through some very "lean years" because I KNEW THIS MOMENT WAS A RESET ON MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE to be going back to college. I had been comfortable, almost complacent but also stressed, overworked and fed up with treating my musical creativity like a hobby or side hustle and fed up with not allowing my daughter to see that her pop pop was an ARTIST first, and not an 8-5 office worker. She needed to see the REAL ME to understand what SHE COULD BE for herself....so here I am 12 years later and can say without question....I MADE THE RIGHT MOVE. ALL PRAISE TO THE MOST HIGH YHWH 💪🏽🙏🏽. That job though was still one of the top 3-5 jobs I ever had and it shaped a LOT of how I carry myself as A PROFESSIONAL. 💪🏽👨🏽‍🏫🫡
