C-Town Stompers is a new performance group. The members are all instructors and performers for Cleveland's premiere swing organization, Get Hep Swing. Get Hep provides high quality instruction and social dances for swing dancers here in Cleveland. Swing dancing is full of JOY! The C-Town Stompers were formed to help continue the tradition of preserving this historic art form while also working to stretch it's boundaries, bring it to the concert dance stage and make it accessible to new generations. Swing is a happy and energetic style that has shaped so many of the dance styles that we love today!

*C-Town Stompers is performing at the Dance Festival for Cleveland’s own Playhouse Square on September 7th, 2018! This is a FREE event! Come join us!

The piece being presented incorporates some Swing Dance styles like: Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Collegiate S**g, Solo Jazz, Structured Partner Improvisation and Charleston with a few hints of hip hop and modern movement. Cleveland has a wonderful Swing Dancing community and we are so thrilled to bring our love for this joyful style to Playhouse Square!
