For 50 years, HELP was never just about the shows.
It was about the nervous kid finding confidence for the first time backstage.
It was about lifelong friendships formed during rehearsals that ran way too late.
It was about learning to harmonize with people who came from completely different generations and walks of life.
It was about laughing until you cried in the wings, celebrating standing ovations, surviving quick changes, and somehow always making the magic happen.
HELP became a place where people could belong.
This weekend, we had the privilege of celebrating everything this group has been and everything it has meant to so many people over the past five decades. The love in that room was overwhelming, and every single person on that stage helped create something unforgettable.
There is heartbreak in closing this chapter. There’s no way around that.
But there is also tremendous gratitude.
Thank you to everyone who ever performed, volunteered, directed, built sets, sewed costumes, played in the orchestra, sold tickets, donated, supported, applauded, or simply believed in what this little theatre group could be.
You mattered. You helped build this legacy.
