Inlet Dance Theatre

Inlet Dance Theatre ...using dance to further people. Inlet Dance Theatre is one of the region’s most exciting professional contemporary dance companies.
(1)

Founded in 2001 by Founder and Executive/Artistic Director Bill Wade, Inlet embodies his longstanding belief that dance viewing, training and performing experiences serve as tools to bring about personal growth and development. Inlet’s collaborative artistic staff build the company’s solid reputation for uplifting individuals and engaging new audiences via performances and education programming. I

nlet Dance Theatre’s impact has grown locally to internationally. The company’s concerts, event services, Inflow and Outflow education programs began as local initiatives and now reach regional, national and international markets. Inlet performs annually at Cleveland Public Theatre's DanceWorks Series, Playhouse Square, Cain Park Evans Amphitheater, among other local venues and conducts regional touring. Inlet has participated in numerous international artistic exchanges through The Cleveland Foundation’s Creative Fusion program and a two week residency exchange to Easter Island (made possible by the Ohio Arts Council, The Ohio Arts Foundation, Playhouse Square’s Education Department, the State Department and the American Embassy in Santiago, Chile). Inlet’s education programming includes teaching dance classes for all ages at The Music Settlement, attracting students from all over the country to our Summer Dance Intensive and our year-long Trainee program, and conducting residencies throughout Ohio as part of the Ohio Arts Council’s Arts Learning Residency Program. In contrast to an industry where people are often used to further dance, Inlet Dance Theatre is committed to using dance to further people. Discover for yourself what makes Inlet unique.

WE HAVE A SHOW, FOLKS!

After putting the finishing touches on choreography, lighting, and staging, we are feeling more than ready to hit the road in T-minus 3 MONTHS! We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to for allowing us to be in your space and figure things out. It’s getting real!

So, the questions stands… “What Do You Do With A Problem?” Our answer: “You make a show!!!” 🌥️⛈️☀️

A special thank you to Co-Producers Lisa and Ron Boyko.

As longtime supporters of Inlet Dance Theatre, we are deeply grateful for your continued enthusiasm and commitment to the company.

Lisa Boyko formerly served on the board for Inlet Dance Theatre. A member of the Cleveland Orchestra viola section since 1991, Lisa has long championed music and arts education through her work with organizations including the Cleveland Chamber Collective, CIM Alumni Association, and the Ohio Viola Society. She also serves on the faculty at CIM and Case Western Reserve University, and has taught at The MasterWorks Festival since 2003.

With his expertise in audio, video and lighting, Ron Boyko was always happy to help Inlet get set up for the Big Bash and the Twilight reception at Cain Park.

Lisa shared:
“I love Inlet Dance Theatre because they create beautiful art that speaks into so many aspects of the human experience. Just as they thoughtfully and intentionally weave hope, healing and humor into their choreography, so they also generously use their talents and resources to bless their community. I’m particularly proud to have been able to share the stage with them at Severance Hall and Cain Park via Inlet’s joint performances with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Chamber Collective. This inspires me to support their mission of “using dance to further people!”

Co-Producer contributions have played a vital role in bringing “What Do You Do With A Problem?” to life. Continued generosity and belief in this project will help us share this important work with audiences nationwide.
If you are interested in becoming a Co-Producer, please contact Libby Koba at [email protected].
