I remember begging my my mom to watch Rocky Horror when I was younger. She said “no” once, & then rented the movie for me for one night only. I had never seen anything like it & I immediately became obsessed with the purely q***r story. We played the Time Warp in high school marching band, I watched the Glee episode, I sang Magenta’s part in a concert performance. When I started performing in drag, Sweet Transvestite quickly become one of my signature numbers. I’ve done it solo, in a duo, I’ve sang it live. I performed it just under 2 weeks ago at a bar in Pittsburgh. Rocky Horror is my favorite musical & means so much to me, as well as many others. We’ve lost a legend today, & he will be very dearly missed.
