A tribute: Unfortunately, indelible moments in theatre are non-transferable. True Thespians, like Brian Zoldessy, steeped in the art form he loved, conveyed "character," through talent and devoted discipline. Brian left us on December 13, 2025, but inspirational legacy lives on. We will miss him.

Theatre Artist, Ron Newell, our friend and colleague, passed away on Friday, November 7th at the age of 95. Typically, he was completing work on his latest project. With film, television, scenic design and directing credits to boast of, he was best known as a veteran Cleveland actor. Associations include productions at the Dobama Theater, Cleveland Playhouse, Berea Summer Theater, Cleveland Opera, and Clague Playhouse. A quick sampler; he appeared as the Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder’s OUR TOWN for Ensemble Theatre, a silent portrayal of the White Rabbit in ALICE AT THE PALACE, a little singing and dancing in the THE COLE PORTER REVIEW, a production that also helped save the theatres at Playhouse Square, Beck Center’s production of the Jerome Lawrence/Robert E. Lee classic, INHERIT THE WIND, with Cesear’s Forum in Jean Anouilh’s THE LARK and in Eugene Ionesco's THE LESSON. A memorial service is planned in January 2026.
