A note from our Music Director:
"When Jaclyn Kurtz and I set out to create the Video Game Symphony, the intent was clear from the very beginning: to build the coolest and highest quality video game orchestra anywhere in the country, one that would do justice to what we truly consider is the classical music of the future.
Just two short years later, we found ourselves in Severance Music Center, home of the world famous Cleveland Orchestra, with nearly 150 incredible musicians, giving the first video game concert in the 94 year history of the hallowed hall.
And now tomorrow, we find ourselves doing it again.
That achievement is a testament to the people on stage and those who have helped us build this organization, putting an immense amount of their time, energy, and passion towards crafting a pursuit of excellence and giving this unbelievably beautiful music, and the truly gifted composers who make it, all the love and attention it deserves.
Whether it's our outstanding conductors Lorenzo Lopez and Andrew Perkins, our wonderful concertmaster Sam Rotberg, all of our amazing musicians, our dedicated Board members Cathy Frantz and Nick McLaughlin (who took these photos), and all of the others who have helped make the Video Game Symphony into what it is today: thank you.
It has been a true privilege serving as your Music Director.
And I know we're going to absolutely rock Severance Music Center tomorrow!
Together."
