Raffle for your choice of a wreath to benefit Trista Moreno! Each ticket is only $2 and all proceeds (minus the cost of shipping, if necessary) will go to help her. You read that right. All proceeds!!
Here's the story!
A couple of weeks ago I was scrolling through FB and I saw a post that hit my heart a certain kinda way. Trista, a girl I went to school with, and probably passed in the halls daily, yet we never really interacted, had shared her raw thoughts and feelings about how she wasn't feeling well on her page and how she knew she needed medical attention, but was scared to seek it. Keep in mind, she and I don't really know each other, but several of her friends and I commented on it, advising her to go to the doctor or ER. Fear is a pain in the butt sometimes and her fear was keeping her from going to the doctor. Finally, after persuading from those around her, she went to the hospital. The news she received wasn't good news. Due to chest pains and shortness of breath, she was placed on oxygen. After a little while in one hospital and a transfer to another hospital, they discovered she had blood clots in her legs and in her lungs. She was placed on blood thinner shots and had to stay in the hospital for a week. She was released with certain requirements. Oxygen for 6 months and blood thinners to dissolve the blood clots currently present and hopefully avoiding new clots from developing.
Here's the thing... Trista doesn't have insurance! 😥 Due to her medical state, she isn't able to work. So here she is, already scared, but now with a life threatening situation added to the mix. I may not know her well, but she swallowed her fear and went to the doctor to seek treatment and now needs help to cover the expenses.
You know how God speaks to you and places things on your heart? Ephesians 2:10 tells us “we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Well... God placed this on my heart. 🥰
I can't help financially, but I can help emotionally and with the support of friends, family, followers, and strangers. I made these two wreaths to raffle off for her. Each ticket is only $2. The randomly chosen winner can choose which wreath he or she would like. I will use a portion of the proceeds to ship the wreath to the winner (if necessary) and then I will send her the remaining proceeds. Who's in it with me?
