Jimmy’s big break came with an appearance on the Polka Varieties TV show in Cleveland, Ohio. Although he was never asked back after nervously vomiting on host Paul Wilcox backstage he signed a recording contract with Parma Records releasing self-penned songs like “The Bigfoot Polka” based on a true incident from when he woke up in a motel with what he thought was a Bigfoot in his bed that turned out to be a large hairy woman with a foreign accent he had met in a bar the night before.
