Heights Arts Heights Arts is a nonprofit community arts organization in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Since the year 2000 Heights Arts has tapped into the creativity of Cleveland Heights to infuse our community's daily life with the arts. Along with multi-media art exhibitions throughout the year featuring regional and nationally known local artists at our Lee Road gallery and Store, we also engage the community through public art projects in the greater Cleveland area, chamber music concerts, our featured Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate and artist talk and poetry series Ekphrastacy, and a popular email newsletter with the latest happenings at Heights Arts and in town. This week, we're introducing Gabs Rataiczak (), one of the artists featured in Emergent, an exhibition celebrating the next generation of Northeast Ohio artists.

Rataiczak is a self-taught artist whose lifelong passions for painting and skateboarding often intersect in her work. Encouraged by her father's creativity from an early age, she primarily works in acrylic, creating paintings inspired by family, skate culture, and everyday life.

Whether painting on canvas or skateboards, Rataiczak is drawn to the stories her subjects can tell. Her work celebrates individuality, finding beauty in distinctive features and embracing each new subject as an opportunity to grow and challenge her artistic practice.

"Faces are something that I admire. The way no one looks exactly alike... Faces can tell a story, and it's been a fun project to keep evolving and see where else it may take me."

There's still time to make your voice heard ahead of FutureHeights' October Crowd Sourced Conversation about the role of art in Cleveland Heights. Survey data is collected and used to create discussion questions. A public forum will then be held Thursday, October 22 to help inform the Arts Commission’s priorities and future work.

🌟It's time to celebrate public art! This summer, the Cedar Lee Arts District came alive and became home to 6 beautiful murals by talented local artists--and we couldn't have done it without you. 🎨💙

This event is being held in partnership with the Heights Bike Coalition. They have arranged a special ride to view the new murals along the Cedar Lee Corridor while also exploring beautiful Cleveland Heights neighborhoods.
After the ride, meet us in the gallery for a mixer with refreshments, a cash bar, the opportunity to meet the artists, and words by Cleveland Heights Mayor Jim Petras.

The first gallery concert of Heights Art's '26-27 Music Season is almost here! Join us at 7:00pm Saturday, October 3 in the gallery for a FREE concert. The Pandan String Quartet will join violist Kirsten Docter, Associate Professor of Viola at Oberlin and former member of the Cleveland-based Cavani String Quartet, for a program featuring Haydn “Sunrise” quartet, Dvorak “American” quintet, and Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate's Pisachi ("Reveal").

This event is free to all, but please RSVP to guarantee your seat!
