Clemson Family,

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve this community for numerous decades. This place was considered as a “2nd home” to so many people, which is what made the URC special. There are not enough words to express the amount of gratitude that we have for every customer that we had the pleasure to serve. And to our regular patrons who came in here nearly every day of the week, y’all are awesome! Because of patrons like you, the memory of the URC will live on forever in our hearts. Again, we cannot say “Thank You” enough.

An era at Clemson is coming to an end. On May 5th, 2023 the Underground Recreation Center will permanently close its doors after serving Clemson University for almost 50 years. As of now, the University does not have any plans to rebuild or replace the Union.

If you have any bowling equipment stored at the URC we kindly ask that you swing by anytime between now and the first week of May to retrieve your items.

We are open Monday- Thursday between 9:30am-3:30pm for Leisure Skill classes and Monday-Sunday between 4pm-10pm for open recreation hours. Please check in with the front desk to check out your items.

Thank you all for your continued love and support of the Underground Recreation Center. We will truly miss our regulars and everyone else who walks through our doors.
