Skate Upstate will soon conclude its operations. Since our founding in January 2023, our mission as a nonprofit organization has been to raise funds for the development of a public skatepark in the Upstate of South Carolina and to promote the positive values of skateboarding within our community.
With the support of Mayor Halfacre and the Clemson City Council, our efforts became focused on the City of Clemson. After three years of hosting skate meetups, fundraisers, art events, park design meetings, and other initiatives, we are proud to share that this mission has been accomplished.
The new Clemson Skatepark at Clemson Park has exceeded our expectations, and we are deeply grateful to all who contributed to making it a reality. We extend our sincere thanks to the City Council, City Administration, , , & The Paddle Jam, Skateparks, and the many individuals who generously gave their time and resources.
We invite you to join us on Monday, May 4th at 6:30 PM at Clemson City Hall, where Peter will present a brief report and offer a public expression of thanks. The presence of local skaters would be especially meaningful.

As we close this chapter, we have one final request: please take ownership of the skatepark. Treat it with care and respect so it can continue to serve and inspire the community for years to come.
