Hey there, Iām the McCreight from McCreight Art and Design. Iāve always believed that my art should do the talking, more than words ever could. But today, I want to share a bit more about my journey and the philosophy behind my work. From Europeās captivating scenes to the dynamic urban life in the U.S., my journey in art has been about capturing those unspoken narratives with my pens and watercolors. Currently, Iām exploring the soulful essence of Southern Culture, where Bourbon and Spirits become subjects of my urban canvases. Each creation is a dialogue of strokes and colors, telling stories that words alone canāt express.
Deeper Dive Q&A:
* Advice for Emerging Artists: Embrace your art with your whole being. Steven Pressfield puts it aptly: āJust work.ā Every canvas is an opportunity for self-discovery and expression.
* What Fuels My Art: My inspiration is a melody of EDMās liveliness and Jazzās depth, infused with the principles of Buddhism. This blend reflects in my art, capturing the symphony of life and the unseen connections within the urban landscape.
* Artistic Influences: My style is influenced by the brilliance of Andy Warhol, Ralph Steadman, Felix Scheinberger, and the unique perspectives of Urban Sketchers worldwide. Their creativity and boldness continually shape my artistic path.
* My Artistic Beginnings: Art has been a lifelong journey, but it took a serious turn in 2017, marking the beginning of a more focused and intentional creative pursuit.
* My Training Ground: Self-taught, I found my best lessons in the streets of cities like Detroit, Denver, Chicago, and New York. These urban landscapes have been my unconventional studios, offering lessons richer than any traditional setting.
* Favorite Art Quote: Steven Pressfieldās wisdom resonates deeply with me. Another favorite is, āThe real innovator is scared to death,ā a reminder of the bravery required in the creative process.
Iām excited to offer a limited number of art commissions this quarter. If my work speaks to you and youāre envisioning something special, feel free to message me. Letās collaborate to create art that tells your unique story.
