Making memories, sharing laughs, and showing appreciation for the amazing people who support us. I’d say that’s a pretty great day! ❤️

And the food! Those yummy treats from Ruby’s were so delicious that we’re already scheming up reasons why we need to go back! 🥐 @

There are some people whose voices carry a little more weight when they talk about the history and future of California rodeo.

Sharon Camarillo is one of those people. A four-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier, National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame inductee, Tad Lucas Award recipient, National Intercollegiate World Champion, accomplished barrel racer, clinician and longtime ambassador for the Western lifestyle, Sharon has spent decades not only competing at the highest levels of rodeo, but helping shape the sport for the generations coming behind her.

During her conversation with the Clements Stampede Royalty, Sharon shared her thoughts on the importance of the California Circuit Finals and what it means to have this prestigious event right here in Clements, California.

The California Circuit Finals represents far more than another rodeo. It brings together the top professional rodeo athletes in California — the men and women who have spent an entire season earning their place among the best in the state.

And hearing Sharon speak about the significance of an event like this is especially meaningful coming from someone who has experienced rodeo from so many different perspectives — as a competitor, champion, educator, commentator and mentor.
Her career has helped elevate barrel racing, open doors for others and inspire countless riders to pursue their own goals in the arena. Her influence on the sport extends well beyond her accomplishments as a competitor.

Now, Clements gets the opportunity to be part of that history.

We are honored that Sharon took the time to share her perspective with us and talk about why bringing the California Circuit Finals to Clements is such an important moment for California rodeo.

A special rodeo deserves a special stage and this October, 23-25 Clements, California, will be that stage at the Clements Buckaroos Rodeo Grounds.
