Original buildings from the 1910's still stand such as the cotton candy stall and the food court which use to be the ballroom and bath house. Buildings like this are no longer found in amusement parks. The park was founded in 1907 by Theodore B. The park was eventually sold to Abram Baker in 1977. Eventually Larry Baker, Abram's son, took over the park. The park was sold again in 2007 to Adrenalin
e Family Entertainment. The park was later sold to Premier Parks in 2012. The park closed in 2019 and will be up for auction on March 23rd 2021 for its entirety.
2007 was the last year we would see the classic roller coaster, Jack Rabbit, standing. This coaster ran from 1919 to 2002 and later torn down in by A.F.E. Jack Rabbit was the worlds oldest operating coaster in the 90s until it shut down. Leap the Dips, which was built in 1902, reopened at Lakemont Park and took back the title. Jack Rabbit never received the ACE Classic Coaster Landmark and was never declared a historic landmark. The park itself was never declared a historic landmark despite being 114 years old which would've offered protection for the park. Clementon park was one of the last surviving parks from post and pre World War One. Please share any memories you would like.
