athy towards life. The art programs at 2nd Stage are adaptable to everyone's learning and developmental skills. Since 2005, 2nd Stage has grown to include a wide range of musical theater acting classes and camps that have engaged students Pre-K thru 12th grade from all economic, racial and social backgrounds. Students at 2nd Stage learn to explore theater in many different avenues including; foundations of musical theater through acting, singing and playwriting, artistic integration, creative development through the history of theater, and critical thinking skills. Studens also have the opportunity to gain the conceptual view of set building, costume design, make up design, and publicity.
2nd Stage runs weekly acting classes as well as summer theater intensive programs that give students opportunities to learn all aspects of theater. 2nd Stage also gives individuals the valuable opportunity to learn and explore the arts using shows and age appropriate selections from Broadway/Off-Broadway productions. Directors and teachers at 2nd Stage are highly trained in theater and work to bring out more than expected from each and every students. All employees and Directors hold a level II Security Clearance, as well as are CPR/first aid.
