Interesting. The city of DuBois apparently funds their concert series? And it came in under budget by $3600? Sheesh, I wonder what their entire budget is? (did a little digging and found out their budget in 2024 was $8000) Our budget is $0. All donated time and effort for almost 15 years! We had 12 concerts in 2026, raised $3600 this summer for charity and aren't funded by Clearfield Borough at all. That's something our community should be very proud of.

DuBois City Music Fest Season a Success

DuBois, Pa. — The 2026 DuBois Music Fest season has ended. Dennis Skraba gave his end-of-season report at Wednesday's DuBois Citiy Council meeting and made a request for 2027.

Skraba said there were 10 concerts scheduled for 2026. However, there was one cancellation due to poor air-quality caused by smoke from this year’s Canadian wildfires.

Skraba said the music fest came in $3,600 under budget this year. He asked to receive the same full amount in funding next year because of rising costs. Skraba also asked whether it would be possible to have a food truck at the concerts next year.

The 2026 Corner Concert Series has come to an end.

Every Friday evening throughout the summer, performers and friends gathered in front of the gazebo in Lower Witmer Park along the beautiful Susquehanna river in downtown Clearfield to enjoy live music and community. They raised money and awareness for the Children's Aid Society's Youth Mentoring Program. A total of $3616 was collected in donations and sponsorships. A check was presented by Steve Albert to Mike Mullins.

Sponsors included: Swisher Concrete Products, RealtyOne Group, The Vine Church, Clfd Co Commissioner Tim Winters, Turkey Hill Heritage Bible Church, and BioGraphics.

There were a few rain-outs, but overall the weather was perfect for all performances. Musical performers included: Cloud 9, Voorhees Blues Band, Nis-n-Nat, Twin Reverb, Locked In, Spencer Graham, Heather Olson and the Silver Eagle Band, Over The Influence, R.H.O.D.E.S., Linchpin, Lloyd Gray, 3ofM.

There were many new additions to this years' events. The Laughing Moose Bakery provided tasty snacks and a different hot food item every week. Steve Albert, Corner Concert host and founder did several live painting demonstrations which were very popular. A patriotic 250th Anniversary celebration was very special as guests signed a scroll to be put into a time capsule by the Clearfield Co Historical Society. A dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence was performed and "George Washington" greeted guests. Mr. Albert painted an American flag and eagle while the band played.

Most of all, The Corner Concert Series would like to thank all of the attendees who gave faithfully every week and helped support local live music and The Children's Aid Society Youth Mentorship Program.
