UMI Motorsports Park is a destination autocross venue and motorsports complex located in Clearfield, PA. UMIMP hosts the spectacular King of the Mountain event along with the UMI Autocross Challenge, UMI TeamCross, and Optima’s DriveAutoX. King of the Mountain, presented by Summit Racing Equipment, was full of extremely fast drivers! Shawn Krebsbach had a whirlwind of a racing weekend and was in the fight to win the Turn One Shootout!

Early on in the shootout, Shawn was P1 with a time of 51.780 seconds and was blisteringly fast in the first round of 12 cars. During Round 2, Shawn took a hit and was knocked down to P2 with a time of 51.906 seconds, right behind Simon. Shawn knew that in Round 3, he had to step it up. He escaped defeat and placed P1 in Round 3 with a time of 52.807, advancing him to the final four!

The final four in the shootout had a tough run, with weather moving in and making the track more difficult to drive on. Shawn knew he had to lock in and focus. Unlike the other three rounds of the shootout, the final four had to run three consecutive laps without stopping. Shawn was last to go, and the rain didn’t seem to slow him down. His first lap clocked in at 56.268 seconds, while his second lap was clocked at 53.436, stepping it up a notch. His final lap was the fastest, clocking in at 52.563 seconds and securing his win with a total time of 162.267 seconds—just over five seconds faster than the second-place finisher!

Congratulations to Shawn for being a 3x winner and all the other 47 cars that made it to the TurnOne Shootout! It was a great race, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
