Meet the Clear Lake Area Concert Association

Since 1979, the Clear Lake Area Concert Association in Clear Lake, Iowa, has been providing high-quality musical performances at a reasonable price, making live entertainment accessible for anyone who wishes to experience it. This membership-supported, volunteer-run organization showcases a variety of ensemble sizes and musical styles, covering everyth

ing from jazz, classical, and pops to folk, ethnic, and more. Our artists are consummate professionals who deliver top-notch performances. Our association has reciprocity agreements with other concert associations in Algona, Forest City, and Osage. This arrangement allows you to use your CLACA ticket for admission to performances in the other communities. We encourage you to take advantage of this terrific cultural opportunity here in your own backyard. Come with a friend, or bring the family! These concerts are a great way to introduce a young person to the experience of live performance. And you can enjoy great music while interacting with the artists in an intimate setting. Membership Information

Each year the Clear Lake Area Concert Association must select its acts, then before a performance season begins, sell memberships to support the selected programming. Therefore, tickets are sold on a membership-only (season ticket) basis. Membership prices are quite reasonable, costing no more than a single-event ticket at many other venues. This means that even if you have to miss a performance, your membership is still a great value (also, you can loan your ticket to a friend J). Keep in mind that your season ticket allows you to attend not only the performances in Clear Lake, but also the performances in reciprocal communities! For the 2021-2022 season, membership prices are

Adult: $50
Student: $10
Family: $105
To obtain your membership, contact any board member or call (641) 529-1964 - Marcia Grabinski, or stop in at the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. All concerts are performed at the lovely E.B. Stillman Auditorium, in the Clear Lake Middle School (1601 – 3rd Ave. Performance time is generally at 7 p.m., although occasionally there are matinees, depending on performers’ availability. Our season generally coincides with the regular school year. However, to accommodate our many members who are snowbirds, we generally try to avoid scheduling concerts in the middle of the winter.

Upcoming show in our 2023-2024 season: Nonsemble
Saturday, November 11, 2023, 7 p.m.
Nonsemble is a group of amateur musicians from across northern Iowa formed about 15 years ago by businessman and self-taught musician Jim Larson of Clear Lake. The band consisted of 11 members at that time. At present they have a roster of 19 musicians, and they play a variety of music from Big Band and Jazz up to 70s pop music.

They play many charitable events throughout the year, mostly in the Clear Lake and Mason City area, but their main goal is to just have fun playing music together as a group and developing lifetime friendships.
