The Edison and 560 staff gathered for our annual year-end celebration at TGP. Though the weather was dreary, the spirits were high as we thanked our student staff and said farewell to our graduating seniors. Another great year with some of WashU's finest!

The Performing Arts Department Presents:

2022 MFA Student Dance Concert:
Solve et Coagula

March 26 at 8:00 p.m.

in Edison Theatre

This year’s concert, Solve et Coagula, celebrates the fifth year of the MFA in Performing Arts Department. The program brings to our audience an outpouring of choreographic inspirations. Each creation offers a particular perspective on the most current topics and abstract concepts. One dance is concerned with processing emotions and states of being while the other moves us from suffering to transformation. Kinetic and colorful, the dances sculpt images of life and rebirth.
In addition, we welcome back our 2020 cohort whose works were never seen due to the pandemic. Mindscapes embodies the remembered and the forgotten, and discovers of what can be found amid the oppositional forces of minimalism and expansion.
Admission is FREE. There are no tickets for this performance.

Although the Edison Theatre stage is currently dark, our staff is out working their magic for the Black Rep's upcoming gala event. After loading in lighting, audio and video equipment, the Black Rep scene shop has been completely transformed into a performance space that rivals most theater stages.

Rave reviews for the ‘s “Two Trains Running”!

“Along with David Mamet and Sam Shepard, August Wilson ranks among the preeminent American playwrights of the last half-century. And “Two Trains Running,” onstage through Jan. 26 at Washington University’s Edison Theatre in a brilliant and unmissable Black Rep production, is among his finest works”
