My latest scenic paintings on the walls before they sold. The two on the right found a home. It’s been challenging and rewarding to create a whole new body of work. From painting wildlife so long, it’s a whole new learning experience of exploration. My favorite part of painting wildlife was to create life with the reflection and depth in the eyes. I also love building up layers of fur and feathers. When I was pulled to start painting waterscapes, I didn’t even realize at the time why, I just really felt the pull and desire to start painting them. As I’ve created several in the last year and a half, I realized it’s the same thing in the waterscapes I’m drawn to as the animals. The depth and reflection of water intrigues me. I love creating reflection while at the same time depth beneath the surface. I absolutely love painting light! Playing with light, depth and reflection. I want to evoke a sense of tranquility in my work and I aspire to have it come through and felt by the viewer. I am improving with every piece and I’m learning how to work my colors better with every piece. Thank you for following me through my journey of exploration and creativity. I am truly grateful for people who follow, encourage, share and like my work. I can create it, but I can’t experience it from another’s perspective.
