LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Clay County should appreciate two fireworks displays
Editor,
We can only hope Clay Countians appreciate the two quality public fireworks displays last week. Clay Center had a display at the fairgrounds that lasted some 30 minutes on July 3. It had some excellent aerial displays and concluded with a startling fireball that left some spectators wondering if it was an accident or done on purpose. We have heard it was produced by a “gas cannon.” It made for a dramatic finish.
The same event concluded the display at Wakefield on July 4. The display at Wakefield had some interesting variations in the kind of pieces in the program. One beautiful display looked like a waving curtain of fireworks and another featured a half dozen or so screaming, twisting pillars shooting skyward at the same time.
Both Clay Center and Wakefield should take pride in these well done spectacles!

Ended up making 61 2 1/2 inch racks there is 10 per rack
