Tonight we open The Ghosts of Gatsby—and what better way to celebrate than by highlighting the brilliant Jacob Schnitzer, APSU’s Director of Orchestral Studies, who will be conducting this production.
Composed by Evan Mack with a libretto by Joshua McGuire, this powerful chamber opera reimagines the lives of iconic American novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, Zelda, through a haunting and lyrical score. Under Maestro Schnitzer’s baton, the story comes to life with the artistry of fifteen APSU voice students and one distinguished alumna.
🎭 Join us for an evening of music, memory, and mystery as we bring this story to the stage for the very first time.
