About the Owner: Tiffany Malena

I’ve been dancing since the age of 2-1/2 and it has gone from a past-time, to a passion, to a career. I began teaching dance classes in high school and my own studio, “Steps at Tiffany’s” was born in July of 2007. In December 2007, I graduated from Wayne State College with majors in Business Management and Human Resource Management. I do all of the teaching, chore

ography, and costuming for Steps at Tiffany’s. My classes are combination classes in that your dancer does not have to choose one form of dance, but learns a variety of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop throughout the lessons. My goals in owning my studio are to continuously create a positive atmosphere where all of my dancers not only learn dance, but also gain confidence, grace, and poise. I love what I do, and do what I love and feel so blessed to share the gift of dance. �

When I’m not dancing, you’ll find me with my husband Sean of 13 years who supports me every step of the way; our little ballerinas: Emery (9) and Everly (5); and the future curtain puller: Creed (2). Thanks for stopping by!

About two more weeks before we’ll be back in the studio for weekly lessons! Whether you’ve been here from beginning or a new dancer just starting, I am so excited to welcome everyone to the studio for Season 20! 🙌🏻 Here’s 20 things to get to know about Tiffany, and her assistant Tess (who’s been with her for all twenty years, first as a student and now as an assistant!) in honor of 20 years of Steps at Tiffany’s!

20 Things about Tiffany:
⁃ I grew up on a farm by Leigh where my parents
raised pigs
⁃ I haven’t stopped dancing since I took my first
class at age 2-1/2!
⁃ I have two older brothers
⁃ My favorite activities in school besides dance
were basketball and speech
⁃ I went to college at Wayne State and graduated
with Business & Human Resource Management
degrees
⁃ I married my high school sweetheart and we
are going on 19 years!
⁃ We have three kids
⁃ We love to go fishing!
⁃ My favorite color is pink
⁃ I am a terrible tv watcher and usually fall asleep
on the couch
⁃ I love to play cards and games
⁃ My favorite food is Prime Rib
⁃ I love to mow!
⁃ I love to be on the lake and water ski!
⁃ If I had to choose a candy, it would be Junior
mints or peanut M&M’s every time!
⁃ I’ve taken my dance teams to perform in 7
different states
⁃ I love all forms of dance but if I had to pick one,
I would choose tap!
⁃ I have 11 nieces and nephews and 1 great
niece, all of which live just a short drive away
from me!
⁃ I lead Sunday School music and devotions
⁃ I LOVE all forms of music!

Today’s finds while organizing the studio 🥹🥰 this one led me astray but well worth it. 🫶🏻 My five senior graduates this year… I’ve had them all since age 3. The photos are from their first year of weekly dance until their last “first” practice today. Note: The song is their 6th grade dance song 🥹😍 so much love for these girls and so excited for all that’s in store for SEASON 20!

My kiddos went back to school today so the studio is getting whipped into shape for fall lessons! After I tried to figure out what I should do first for about 20 minutes, I started with turning on the music and then it clicked! Ha! Season 19 wrapped up last night for a great audience at the CCF! Thank you so much to the Colfax County Fair Leigh, NE for having us perform! A huge shout out to my senior graduate, Sophie Morfeld, on an amazing dance career. All of God’s blessings in college and in all you do! 🫶🏻

The Mini, Prep, Junior, and Senior dance teams SHINED BRIGHT performing at the Clarkson Community Nursing Home this afternoon. 🫶🏻 We love every opportunity we have to entertain and being a light ✨ to the residents who enjoyed it so much! We performed about a half hour show and then dancers and residents enjoyed an ice cream treat! Next stop ➡️Colfax County Fair tomorrow, Thursday, July 16 at 7pm!

It’s FAIR WEEK! We are so excited to be the entertainment for Thursday night’s fair! Come see our dance teams, ages 7-18, perform a nonstop show in the pavilion, beginning at 7pm on Thursday, July 16! The mini, prep, junior, senior, and varsity teams, as well as small groups and solos/duos/trios will be taking the stage and performing routines in tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop! We hope to see you there!!!

Our performance at the Clarkson Czech Festival was last Sunday! Keeping right in step with the other unusual weather we’ve encountered for our performances this year, it was a record hot day so our show was moved into the Opera House! It was great to perform on the stage for a great audience!! Next stop: Colfax County Fair performance ➡️Thursday, July 16.

Don’t forget to get registered for SEASON 20!! Information has been emailed to all current dance families. Reach out with any questions or to register!
