My latest in the Scenic Route Series - Valley Falls!

If you've been there, you know the beauty. My original watercolor art painted on a vintage 1963 map weaves together looks from different seasons, the depth of the famous waterfalls, and the iconic valley falls sign.

I just finished this piece, and I’m really happy with it.

I painted the Cass Scenic Railroad across a vintage West Virginia map and tucked in little pieces of Cass from the company store, to the tracks, and the riverbank. It has the atmosphere I hoped for, and I love the way it turned out.

The grand unveiling is at Tamarack Marketplace this weekend!

Scenic Route: Cass Railroad is finally here - link in bio straight to my new print! This map is a little different with the yellow background. If you look closely you’ll see it is still before the time of interstates. Picked up in an Ohio thrift shop - it found its way back to West Virginia and there is nothing more West Virginia than Cass Railroad.

I’m still trying to decide what to add to this piece that features the rock cairn. I thought about adding triangle rock near a Seneca but didn’t go through with it.
